What story would YOU tell in a book that says:

2014 StoryBook

"It is time
for all of us to
replace the old paradigm
of domination
with new models
of cooperation,
problem-solving
and human ingenuity.

Bringing creativity
to difficult situations,
we cultivate
expressions of
The New Earth."

The St George Day Storybook is a free venue for writers and illustrators.

Published by volunteers to create a festival venue for writers and
illustrators that is distributed FREE at the festival and beyond. All submissions are voluntary, and the publication work is voluntary.

This FREE annual publication furthers the expression of the themes of this all-volunteer community festival. The book is a labor-of-love crafted by the folks at ETG Book Cafe, and printed by McKee High School graphic arts department. Ads are sold for the back pages to raise money for festival expenses and printing costs. Please tell people you know that might want to buy an ad.

BOOK THEMES INCLUDE: "Resiliency; Sharing resources; Cooperation; Creative invention; Forgiveness; Working together to resolve conflict; Discovering commonality; Enemies become Allies.
And Dragons. "

A good length for short story and poem submissions is up to 400 words or so, but, if longer, should max out in the vicinity of 1000 words. Shorter is better!

Artwork submissions for the inner pages will be reproduced in black and white (grayscale). If you send a digital image file, please keep the resolution fairly high 150-300 dpi. The pages are 5" wide and 8" high. Sometimes we lay out the artwork several to a page, and sometimes covering both pages of the page-spread, and that dimension is 10" wide and 8" high. The layout artist will adapt your image to suit the context which may include some editing. See the other issue PDFs linked below to see examples of that.
